you can rev to 8000 on stock valvetrain... i've been doing it for a few years now with no problems. and if you have a good tune, mods can increase mpg... if not, they can hurt it bad.

so with the mods i plan on having(S1s), i can get tuned and have a rev limiter at 8000 rpms without hurting anything for along time. or should i put GSC single spring chro-molly retainers in just to be safe. by the way im not putting anything else on my car untill i have all the parts in my sig with the money to have them all put on and get tuned. thanks

I'm getting the S1s installed and retuned on Tuesday. I have everything you have on your list plus a little bit more. If you plan on pushing your rpm to the limit I would advise getting your valvetrain upgraded. Even though it is not needed with the S1s it is better to be safe than sorry. I for one don't rev that high so I'm sticking with the stock valvetrain.

good luck with your mods, also I would put the upgraded valve train not that you can't rev that high is just to be safe. Oh and the reason that those 500hp cars are getting 30mpgs is, because of the greater lag that those big turbos get compared to our instantaneous boosting stock turbos.

I really feel that my gas mileage has gotten better after my mods. It feels like it, but I haven't proved it as a fact to myself. My mods are worth every penny to me since my car feels and sounds so much more powerful.
