What should I do next?

My current mods:
3" custom down pipe with cat delete built in & HKS catback exhaust
Injen upper and lower intercooler pipes
Injen hard intake pipe with K&N filter
Ebay front mount intercooler
Hallman manual boost controller @1.2bar till get tuned
APS twin vent blow off valve

I have $800 To spend on mods including tune,

What would you suggest be the next best one? As far as performance and reliable.

Thanks,
Ben

Ben, you must get a tune/reflash in order to unlock the true potentiial of your Evo. Also, do you have a boost gauge? I had the Hallman Pro MBC previously, but I found out that MBC's don't hold boost as well as EBC's. Therefore I have made a switch to the AEM TRU-BOOST Controller/Gauge. It's electronic so it holds boost much better during weather/temperature changes compared to manual boost controllers. Keep in mind that temperature changes can result in a 1-2 psi loss in mbc's. That's possibly 10 hp per psi. I would get an ebc/boost gauge if I were you....All the best!!!

Yeah, I have a boost gauge. Defi-link BF, metric..
I went with the hallman because of the cost and some of the reviews. I saw good and bad with both, So i thought that there would be nothing wrong with going with the manual.

Okay, If I were not to go cams, Would you suggest anything else to add before the tune? I was thinking about an O2 housing, good idea? And as far as them, is there any advantage with either the stock type, or the atmospheric dump type?

Thanks for your respones.
Ben

I personally haven't messed with my O2 housing, but that's because I've heard that replacing it only makes a difference when you get very deep into your modding. I've heard that many people decide to go with cams or do something with the manifold. I haven't gotten too deep into modding, so I wouldn't be for sure though.

So, a manifold over the o2? Okay, I can do that because thats something that I can do myself. Would a ported on be better than a tubular one? I was thinking about the Ebay one, I have an Ebay FMIC and the fitment was perfect and I have not had any problems with it yet. And even if it only lasts a year or something I could get 3 or 4 for the cost of a name brand.

I would really like to do the cams but to have them installed and buy them and tune would be over my $800.. Sean ivey said $725 + the cost of cams.

What else with the manfiold would be good if i were not to do cams? Or is that really all the bolt ons?

If your not going to do the cams then get a fuel pump, a real intercooler and a tune.

Personally I would get a few extra bucks and do the cams, but thats me.

if you cant afford cams, walbro, and tune, save your money until you can... good to do ARP headstuds at same time, and possibly valve springs/reatiners depending on how aggressive the cams are (it was recomended to me with my Cosworth 272/272's, and I can rev to 8K with them safely). If you are considering 02 housing do a ported stock exhaust mani at the same time to save money on labor, especially if you are going to replace it down the road... no need for tubular exhaust mani on stock or stock sized turbo (ie. green/red turbo). Get labor quotes (unless you plan on doing mods yourself) so you know how much it will really cost you before you can drive with them on your car.... AND MAKE SURE TO GET A TUNE!!
