Haha tonight Gary from Intercity Lines delivered my 06 evo9 IX. The car is bone stock with 10,200 miles. I paid 25,500 for the car and 1,400 for shipping (I think I might have gotten raped on both...)



I've been looking for an evo9 for about a year and 3 months and determined the GSR was the right choice for me (Stronger tranny). But as it was being delivered from florida I was having some second thoughts thinking I should have went with the MR (Better "daily-driving") because I don't know where i'm going to get the money to actually produce over 400 whp and I also would have liked HIDS!!!!...

But I think I made the right choice and I'm finally part of the family If you want to convince me I made the right or wrong choice please do!

I will probably be keeping all performance related mods postponed for a year just in case something is wrong with the car.

25k for a IX with low miles.. thats a steal man.. they are going for 29k+ here..

Good color choice. If it was me, I wouldn't have bought a used Evo. I hope you don't run into serious maintainence issues in the near future. I know I don't have many mods on my MR, but I strongly feel that my transmission is not weak compared to the 5 speed transmission. I refuse to believe that my 6 speed tranny is weak in any way possible....And I am very pleased with my MR and every single aspect about it. Anyways, nice choice for you.

I want to do an oem install with jdm evo8 headlights and custom hid + foglight ballast from MR/SE/SSL. So it's not going to be cheap or easy. hanahawaiian who has done it is going to try to help me out.

Intercity Lines is a little bit more expensive than other companies but they aren't a broker, they are small company that actually gives a damn about their customers and drivers, and it was enclosed transport.

Yeah I know you love your MR Everytime someone bashes the mr you always respond heheh. But i'm the kind of person that if the tranny did blow I would be like WTF didn't I buy the 5-speed in the first place. Of course i'd like to feel cool with the nice red MR badges, but the MR and GSR are essentially the same car besides the 6-speed (which I know is a big thing lol).

Can't blow that warranty yet

Look at what I have on my window already and the car is neither registered or insured... Not a good sign, but I'm really not going to be speeding, because i'm screwed if the insurance goes up

Yeah since the evo came to the united states I've always liked white and when they changed the color to WW I came. This would be evident by the 50+ image screen saver sideshow filled with only wicked white evos lawl.

When it came down to actually purchasing an evo9 I was also thinking about tarmac black because the "do-work" black on black scheme is sexy sauce, but WW is my first love.

I'd also like to let you guys know im coming from a 99' ford taurus.
