Are you sure? Mine revs to an indicated 7600 or so even though redline is 7000. How high has it gone?

Or do you mean no 2-step stationary limiter?

Sweet typing dude, you should learn how to form sentences. Yes, your Evo should have a rev-limiter; probably between 7400-7800 rpm.

Yes, the 03s hit 7600 RPM and the 05 VIII has a 2 step at 5k RPM. Learn how to use your words!

There's misspelling, and then there's sounding like you're a 3 year old.

Your posts have been the latter.

Um, maybe I have a freak evo. Mine's all stock, and I've been able to rev to an indicated 8000rpm in first. I thought the rev limiter would kick in, but never felt anything. I freaked out and shifted when it got up to 8000rpm.

We're talking about 2 different things:

- All stock USDM Evos have a factory rev limiter of 7606rpms.
- All 05-06 USDM Evos have a stationary rev limiter (launch limiter) of 5000rpms. 03-04s do not have this. It would take less than a minute to find this info via Search

Mad pup, what device were you using to measure the rpms? if looking at the tach, then I'm not so sure that what you're saying is accurate. If it was a logging device that actually showed 8000rpm, then your ECU programming has been changed from stock.
