CEL and SES

Hey guys,

If there is no CEL or SES, then the ECU isnt throwing any codes correct? Or can there be codes thrown without setting off those lights? Thanks in advance EvoM.

Corrent. If there was a code, the ECU would let you know.

the only way it could throw a code with out turning on the light, is if the lights burned out. which does happen btw.

But when you turn the ignition into the on position without starting the car, all the lights come on right? So wont you be able to tell if the light is burned out then?

Bingo.

Also remember that things can have problems in the car that will not throw a code, your car isn't THAT smart.
