SES Light on P0202

Ok, my SES light is on and the code is P0202. From the description on the code reader it says that its the injector circuit #2 open. What does that mean? I also watched the SES light today. it went out on the way home and then came back on. Same code. I have been asking around and one place suggests switching injectors around and seeing if the code follows the injector and see if it is the injector or not. Any opinion on this?

Without hooking the car up to a scope or ohm checking, that is the best way to identify an injector failure. Just swap it to another cylinder and see if the code follows.

Is there a way to depressurize the fuel rail?

Better yet, what is the resistance supposed to be. I have access to an ohmmeter.

Typically, the rail pressure will drop after a while with the engine shut off. You can also pull the pump fuse and start the engine and wait for the car to stall, or you can depressurize it at the rail access port.

I am not sure what the exact ohm reading should be, I haven't run across these problems on my car yet, but you can search the forum. I'm sure it's been mentioned more than once.

Since your CEL turned off for a brief time, I would check the wiring and connection. You might get lucky and save yourself some money. Good luck.

I found the impedance and checked the injectors. They all are in tolerance and there are no shorts in the harness. So I am thinking the injector might have some particle in it to keep it open and create that. Think it's a possibility?

Perhaps, you may have an open in the injector itself. Have you swapped the injector yet to see if the code follows?

I have not swapped the injector yet. I went out of town for the weekend and haven't been able to work on it yet.
