AMS TBE vs Greddy/Helix TBE

So I am in the market for a TBE, here are the options,

Option 1:

AMS Turboback exhaust, i think there site is selling it for like 999.99.

Option 2:

Greddy TI-C catback + Helix downpipe and testpipe for like 750.00

these are both brand new keep in mind

Now questions...

1. which is a better TBE
2. what has a better sound
3. what looks better when on the car... i really like the Greddy TI-C look when its slanted to the side, but the AMS is similar but not sure, if anyone has pics of what they look like on ur car, that'd help too

this is a pic of the AMS i have, doesnt help much

Thanks!

1.AMS is better
2.I am a fan of GReddy but my friend has AMS on his evo9 and it sounds pretty good
3.I think it all depends on what u like.Doesnt GReddy Ti have the burnt muffler tip?
I would go with AMS TBE for the best performance

I don't have much experience with the Greddy, only that its loud. I do have friends with the AMS TBE and all I can say is wow! That exhaust looks great, sounds awesome, fits perfect, and build quality is top notch. The only draw back is the price. Ouch! I personally have the Megan TBE and love it. Fits great, sounds bad a$$, is stainless, and is a full 3 inch exhaust. For the price of the AMS I got my full Megan, Apexi filter, MBC, and Walbro. And honestly, an exhaust is only 3 inch tubing and a muffler so I can't really justify paying so much for it.

Greddy TI-C bottlenecks at the cat then goes to a full 3" If you want something showy and nice sounding as well.. I have the Agency Power exhaust. I always get compliments on how it sounds. Titanium canister and tip, just like the Greddy TI-C, but full 3" piping.

save ur money. its only an exhaust. go with cheap companies and avoid geting any piping that has a resinator. my whole system (including manifold and o2 housing) cost 650 bucks. it has worked great for a year now. no issues

My full exhaust parts list:

Authority Rear Bumper Carbon Fiber Shield - 98.95
Apexi GT Spec Cat-back Exhaust - 609.95
Apexi GT 3" Stainless Downpipe - 268.95
Megan EVO 8 Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifold - 225
Cobb EVO Test Pipe / High Flow Cat - 124.95
Megan Racing EVO VII/VIII/IX O2 Housing - 149.99
Kartboy Exhaust Hangers - 48.95

Total: 1526.74

The exhaust sounds awesome. Obviously it sounds best when the engine is under load, but it also sounds nice at idle, it has a nice burble to it.

After adding 272's into the mix, the exhaust is noticeably louder and deeper.

I bought all of that from lancershop.com

It was expensive but worth every penny

do you want power, sound or looks?

I researched possibly every exhaust out there and Buschur is the best by far.

1.) lightest
2.) most power
3.) looks are awesome, it is different from all the others
4.) sound is incredible, low deep rumble with the bullet muffler and test pipe.
5.) Paid 750 for everything and was a breeze to install.

If you need more info feel free to pm me

^ every one of those points is subjective. What is a couple lbs. weight savings and a couple more horsepower if someone thinks it looks lame and sounds like crap. As long as it's a full 3 inch stainless, everything else is so subjective....

you can search man...

otherwise noted... get a Megan TBE

3inch piping is 3 inch piping man..

there really isnt that much noticeable hp just from swapping brands...
of course it may save some weight.. but if you wanted to do that then youd buy a full titanium exhaust...

Megan does it for me pffft even Ebay brand
