subs under back seats?
subs under back seats?
hey, quick question. Has anyone tried throwing subs UNDER their back seats. Does the Lancer even have the space under the backseats. I had an old mustang back in the day and it had the space to do it. Anyone have any advantages or disadvantages to doing it.
disadvantage= youll be muffling the sound possibly topping out the sub against the seat bottom, very damaging to subs, or any speakers for that matter, and you would have to cut out that whole space where the seats sit, and thats a no no since thats where our fuel tank is!!! my advice. buy a bow, put it in the trunk and call it a day.
actually check alpine. a few years ago they created BASS ENGINES which were aloy smaller and would use the cars frame to make the sound. however these were based on the theory bass is felt.... not heard.
and for those of you who think it will muffle the speaker..... what the hell do you think happens when you put it in the trunk????
and as far as cutting the seat some speaker manufacturers have build them with the magnet on top instead of floating in the rear. read up on the bose woofer in the NISSAN line up.
