Subs under the seat

Anyone tried this. I was thinking of putting a 10" sub under both front seats.
Would this work?
Any advice would help. I haven't measured anything like seat height or sub depth so I really don't know much.

I want to put subs in my car but I need my trunk space. Any other ideas would help too.

they will not fit under the seat, and if u manage to get them under there it will sound like crap... u have a better chance on upgrading ur sound system and putting 2 6.5" subwoofers where the rear speakers are.

www.edesignaudio.com should have them... its all quality stuff

I love my under-seat sub!

But it came stock, so I can't give much advice. Maybe pick up a used one and wire it into the system . . .

There are a few low-profile subs out there that should work. Believe Infinity has some at Circuit City if you what a closer look.

Why not, I need my trunk space for hauling crap back and forth from college and there is space under the seat not being used. Some stock subs go under the seats so i figured WTH. why not.

I did say if you had a better idea post it. Just don't want to lose trunk space.

I have thought of doing this myself and the best woofer for the money to do this is :

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-oNfoj0r...20&I=023OD1000

very slimline and takes a small enclosure, you will need to fire the woofer downward toward the floor and put some type of feet to allow for clearance so the woofer can move
it will work but will be labor intensive

It'd have to be a 3-way set and even then you would be missing at elast some low bass(>40hz, the fun stuff). Image Dynamics has at least 1 8incher in its lineup that'll fit the bill. I've heard of a couple WRX guys putting those under their seats. I think its the IDQ series, but not sure.
