WHAT? Now this is stupid..... I'm sorry to say... I mean all of the world record setting EVO's have VTA, so now what? They're all garbage? There's absolutely nothing wrong with VTA on a EVO, you just have to be tuned for it if you're on the stock MAF and stock ECU, so it doesn't get rich when you change gears. A side effect a lot of people see when shifting is huge flames, easy fix if you got a good tuner. Go to speed density mode, and there's nothing wrong with VTA. As for me, WITH A TIAL 50mm BOV, stock ECU, Stock MAF, I have absolutely no problems what so ever. I had the Forge recirc, and the tial performs and sounds much better. I have no flames when I shift, idle is perfect, the down low flutter is gone and it will hold what ever the spike goes to. Now as for something spitting out of the BOV, now that's weird! I know if I'm at 30 PSI and it opens I see the air come out of the vent. But nothing gets stuck to my windshield or anything like that. It's just a rush of air, so it's cool. Now the seafoam... IDK WTF that is...

if u put a vta bov on your evo and do it the right way theres no problems. my car has one and the thing runs mint. oh and my cars completly stock other than bov and exhaust. theres a way around put a vta bov on and running into no problems with a bone stock evo.

send vmrevo9 a PM. I think he's got experience with seafoam. Or you should talk to apagan01 through PM, he's knowledgeable with that stuff too. I don't think its hurting you though. You may just need to blow it all out since it went in the wrong line.

I am running a Tial BOV on a stock MAF and ECU now with no problem. And i have also been using seafoam everytime i change my oil. It help cleaning all the junk out of your system and helps your car quite a bit. I just havent been using it for the last few months cause i am too lazy. Just make sure you run it hard before you change your oil because it will drink your oil like crazy. As far as the spitting out of your BOV, never been heard off either. You can just try to clean it off and check to see if any hose was loose. Hope that helps.
