Car spitting something out the bov
I was curious and I asked around and this is basically what I got. What you might be seeing is the seafoam that's trapped or near the intercooler and that's why you will see more of it at higher boost then you would at 10 PSI or daily driving. Best thing, from what I'm hearing, take the IC off and clean those pipes out, then the problem should go away. After that, use the technique Wynn's recommends to use seamfoam and that should solve your current problem and lastly, any future problems you may have if you do decide to use seafoam again. I asked about it hurting the car and I keep getting the answer "no" but its not something you want floating in there for a long period of time since it is a cleaner and might have the crap it cleaned at the bottom of the IC. This is the best answer I can give you. GL

You know where those hoses in the picture go now right? I don't know how much of that liquid you pored into the front hose but you have a very large reservoir that's holding it now. It probably won't hurt anything as it gets sucked or blown out but It will reduce the effectiveness of the IC and it's not very cool that it gets sprayed all over your engine compartment anytime the BOV opens.

i9 was going to say,, it will eventually come out of the system,,, however i am still wondering how did it get up there,,,,,
thats another reason why we do not recomend sea foam,,, but we respect the customers choice

u want an honest solution bro.? Get rid of your VTA BoV and here are a couple of reasons why IMO: Unless you're in it for the sound, which is so ricer, but that's irrelevant right now, you're not going to get any gains in HP. Secondly, VTA's in general just aren't ideal for Evos. Moreover, once you start hitting higher RPMs, unless you take your foot off the gas to release the compressed air as a result of spool, a small proportion of it will kick back into your turbo and you'll definitely feel what I mean because 1, you'll feel a lag in acceleration and two, you'll hear it!! Here's my advice: revert back to stock (your stock DV-diverter valve) is actually pretty damn good, and two, unless you plan on going with a bigger turbo, get rid of your VTA. On the otherhand, if you really want that BOV, get a recirculating one. As for the Seafoam????... I have no idea what that is, but from here on out, I'd definitely do research first before doing any mods or maintenance to your car.
