Not dealer invoice, but dealer cost. Remember that dealers will get a holdback on the car that represents anywhere from 2-4% of the purchase price (or more). I'd start with $1500 below invoice and go from there.
just curious, does anybody knwo the invoice price of the EVO?, more so the fully loaded GSR? is it 31k?

Go to Edmunds.com and you can find the invoice price of the car with SSS. $31K is about right. I'd say that if you can get it for $29.5K + tax and registration that would be a good deal. It all depends on how desperate they are.

Where in Maryland ?

p.s. - there is no need for 5 thousand !'s that you got approved. Plus, I'd try to give PenFed a try, you might be eligible for a 4.75 APR.

I was approved yesterday for the 0% for 60 months deal from Mitsu. Turned it down at the last second. It's gonna happen very soon though, I'll just always be pissed I didn't get the 0%. Same thing happened to me in '05 with my VIII.

Shouldn't you know this information BEFORE you go looking at a certain car? Reading through your posts, it sounds like you need to research the Evo X a little more. All I got from this thread is that:

1. English has taken a new low
2. You're buying a X to make is go Psssssh
3. You make it sound like the dealer is stupid, I highly doubt they're letting a moron sell you a car without making money on it.

Nonetheless, have fun in your car..

Ahhh, Antwerpen Mitsubishi. They are not very good. They don't know jack about the Evo and they barely budge on price even though they have a ton sitting on the lot.

I tried to haggle with them, but I value my time and I don't like to deal with incompetency.

BTW- A fully loaded GSR stickers for $40,102. Try to get them down to at least $34. I paid $33.9 for mine.

I just checked out a RR Evo X with SSS at Edmunds.com. Invoice is $33,518. At like $695 for destination and you're sitting at around $34,200. Aggressive negotiations + dealer desperation might equal $30-$31K + TTL. Since you're already approved with a bank, what about waiting until Nov. 30th to buy? Believe it or not it can make a difference if you buy on the last day of the month.
