For simple bolt-ons(TBE & Panel Filter) + tune, a IX will make more power than a VIII. Interior and exterior would be the most noticeable differences on the two Evo generations. I suggest getting a IX if you can afford it. But if you get a VIII, that's still a great Evo. Either way, you can't go wrong

 

I believe an evo is an evo so no matter which one you get you'll still b satisfied no matter wat. Its all about preference.

 

9. look at what people are doing with the stock turbo and e85. mivec gives you excellent drivability. and you'll be getting a chassis that is anywhere from 1 to 3 years younger. you'll pay extra for it, but those are good things to pay a little extra for.
