Whats the max power you can safely make whit stock internals on a 2003 evo?

 

quite a few people making 500awhp or more

 

well the evo i picked up has 81k on it....would u recommend a rebuild

on a more serious note, search is your friend
on a even more serious note, ~500 to the wheels unless you have a 7 bolt which means you will walk your crank
but seriously though... 6 bolts will be hard to find on an Evo

 

yeah i also think 500awhp if the max and if youre going to push your motor that hard you should definitely rebuild it before you do it with 81k

 

yea i was think bout sending it off to ams for a full bore and stroke and do the rest my self at my bros garge

I would agree, 500 whp is the limit.... that was the line I did when I decided to go with the stroker kit!

500awhp is not the limit though...

 

Mellon are you still on the stock internals? I imagine you are getting close to 600 awhp number.

~ 500awhp currently but with c16 it shot up to 565ish with just 4* of timing added. I'm putting in the buschur built 2.0, stage 3 head and bf272 cams this week. Looking forward to see what it will do beyond 30psi.

the STM car that just recently blew up had stock internals. it ran for 4 years and got a best time of 10.0 at like 148. not bad for just dropin in cams, huge turbo, n some other goodies. im sure that car made 500 or more.

 

U can go 500 or more i have seen it done but on the safe side for a DD i would say 400-450 should be plenty and safe

 

Our car was making alot more then 500 whp before it went and it was going 10.0 and the best mph was 142.
