Another one bites the dust!!

I finally went AWD turbo. Actually traded in a 05 GTO for a 05 EVO8 MR.

So I am new to this forum, but it looks like a good place to be. Anyway I love it got 15K on it right now and garaged the whole time. Anyways just wanted to say whats up.

Once I actually sat in the cockpit and test drove it. It was all over from that point.

So just a warning to all that come here, you will be getting hit with all the questions i might have. So thanks in advance.

I am in STL so it would be cool to met other EVO owners in the area.

Anyway Peace.

Congrats on your newly acquired evo, the GTO was probably nice but you'll have much more fun with the evo.

Yes pics will be coming soon! very soon.

Its a 05 CG MR (STOCK) with about 15K on it now. All tinted windows. Not sure about the rims(OEM)? I havent seen any other 05 MR's with them. I will take a cell phone camera shot this afternoon and post a couple low res pics. Previous owner did replace clutch with exedy and had CIA but that was removed and stocker put back on. So my quest has begun.

Thanks for all the welcomes. This site seems alot more user orientated and friendly than the GTO sites I am use to. A ton of info, so much my wife complains about me always being on here.

First and For most I noticed. Handling of EVO 8 MR Vs the GTO. Both are extremely fun to drive but the EVO wins hands down on that one. I bit stiffer ride but the agility compared to the goat is ridiculous.

The Go Juice. I was supprised at how fast the EVO actually was once turbo was spooled up so top end i would say the are pretty comparable, but its the low torque I do miss for the goat. Still getting use to that. Driving the EVO like I did the GTO I have almost killed it a couple times on hills because I wasnt use to the clutch and the torque difference.

The interior of the GTO was a bit more sleek and stylish and more comfortable.

All in all I made a huge improvement in driving machines. I got a turbo charged all wheel drive 4 door sedan as a replacement. How much more practical can you get?

Very good choice! I have known several people who have converted from a GTO.

Congrats!
