fyi if he said 2.5 inch, that's a red flag already...evos benefit more from 3" piping and you can get a great fitting, light wt, proven performance exhaust system right here at evom vendors.

So you're going catless then correct? And yeah, 2.5" piping is STOCK on an evo. Make sure if you decide to go with the custom exhaust that it is 3" piping all the way through.

As part of the dp of course, haven't you looked at any of the designs available on the market? Anyway, I do agree with the others that you should just get something already made. This guys doesn't sound like he knows whats he's doing, and there's plenty of cheap systems on the market.

I personally wouldn't skimp out on such a important base mod on a $30k car but that's just me.

Check out your options from the big guys. I have a AMS Turbo Back Exhaust with Test Pipe and love it.

Other vendors make great pieces as well such as Buschur.

Your "custom" exhaust guy is clueless, didnt he notice the stock exhaust is bigger than 2.25". Get a 3" stainless steel exhaust that doesnt rub and you'll be a happy camper. Not sure if you have an MR but the exhaust is slightly different for MR's to properly clear the Tcase / Tranny.

Whichever exhaust system you choose make sure it's at least 3.0" Remember on a turbo car back pressure is the enemy =)

So many used 3" exhausts for sale out there, just go with one of those!
