Idle & 3rd gear question

When I idle my car is a little rough. Not much but it's a tiny vibration that I can feel in the brake pedal. Is this normal for an Evo? It's not like a rough idle like you'd expect but it's defiantly a vibration I can feel every few seconds.

Also... when shifting into 3rd it crunches sometimes. Not loud either but I tend to do slow shifts in town to try to keep the boost down. If I shift fast then it's fine.

My MR does the exact same thing. Ha...was just about to post a question about it as well. 2nd gear for me though. Sometimes when I shift it will make a small grind, so I shift slow and it's fine, but also shifting fast I have no problem with. Then at other times I will get in my car and the tranny will shift smooth as butter. I'm just about to change my tranny fluids and possibly linkage bushings and see if that helps.

No cams yet...just an exhaust, upper/lower INT pipes and intake. I'll let you guys know how the fluid/bushing change goes.

alright, got the bushings in, def feels much better, but i did feel it lightly in 3rd gear.. i also put a blox front engine mount on which is said to improve shifting ... shifting is more precise, i would def recommend both if you dont mind a little bit of vibrations

i still would like to change tranny fluid and see how it is, i heard amsoil is the best for it

+1. Just put in Some Buschur Racing linkage bushings and it feels great. Haven't driven it enough to really make the conclusion, but seems to be all good. Next will be my fluid change. After that, new motor and tranny mounts. Should be as solid as can be!
