Is it worth it?
Hi everyone. I joined awhile ago but have pretty much just been looking around all the forums doing some learning and such. I have sort of a problem though. Here's the story. I bought a 02 Thunder Grey LS back in like march for 7500 (save the negative comments i'm aware that price was way to steep) at some used car lot located near me. So first there's that. Then comes the dumbass noob crap I did to it. First of all there was some minor damage to the rear bumper around the corners (completely through the paint, only primer was showing). So stupid ol' me goes ahead and buys a can of grey metallic (or something to that effects) spray paint from an auto store and tried to cover it myself. Fail. It looked really good while wet so i figured HEY why not spray alittle more on some spots on the door. Needless to say it looks like absolute garbage. Then I tried for the debadging. Bad idea. I did it in like 45 degree wheather and i got impatient with the goo (for some reason i was too lazy to get goo-gone) and started SCRAPING THE GOO OFF WITH THE BADGE!
Once again.......bad news. Now my trunk looks like crap too. So many scrapes. Some through both the paint and primer. But in addition there is one mechanical problem I thought someone could help out with. I recently got my 2 rear tires repaired (had some screws in them....idk) and afterwards my car doesn't feel the same. I feels almost wobbly and sorta out of control when I go over a bump or small hole or something. All the lug nuts are on tight I can assure you. Sorry for the dreadfully long post but just was wondering what are my options and/or what can I do first to start my car out on the right foot again instead of feeling like a jackass in a horribly butchered, wobbly car? or is all I'd have to do even worth it? Should I just sell? What do you guys think?

check and make sure after they "fixed" your rear tires that the balanced them properly. even if they are off only slightly, it will make you car feel like its wobbling and hopping. and +1000 on taking it to a body shop. gl

the car has 74k on it as of now. but yeah it has been since i got the tires repaired except all they did was lift it and filled the holes so idk if i can really blaim them. like was said, i could definitely just be my rear shocks or something. all i know is its most definitely the suspension. i just hope something was messed up and not completely hopeless forcing me to spend a lot of $ on some new stuff. i was eventually gonna go to a body shop anyway once i had the funds. but what do you suggest i do with it? a completely new paint job would cost 1000+ so i dont really see that happening. would they go around my car and fix every little scratch? it seems like something like that would cost more than a paintjob to me. sorry i know nothing about body shops whatsoever.
well yes now it does. it not only bounces but also feels alittle out of control like my steering isnt stiff enough. my steering wheel seems like loose especially when i go over bumps. and turning is pretty bad too. it feels like every time i turn my car is tilting and its just not cool. is anyone fairly certain what this is? i'm starting to really dislike my car.
Sounds like you suspension is shot. Unfortunately it's going to cost you if you don't know what it is or can't do it yourself. It sucks going it in for stuff like this since it will get expensive quick just to get it to normal working condition.
