I'd be wary of a lemon law buyback. Generally, if it's something easy to fix, it wouldn't be in that category...

 

Yeah its either a. They took it back and fixed whatevers wrong or are scumbags and are just tryna sell it to someone else and hope they don't say anything. Although they're somewhat honest saying it was a lemon. Call them up and ask what was wrong

yeah i dont think he likes that one anymore. he found a 05 yellow with 35k miles for 18k or 18.9. so he might try for that

 

That's not a bad deal,I say get it and go for the beefed up bumble bee look,lol meaning cf hood,trunk,lip,tinted windows,and maybe jdm evo IX rear bumper,and some black rims,even the enkies powdercoated black would look good

 

I bought mine brand new and now it has 45,000 on it and no issues!

 

yeah maybe, he like that color, mitsubishi dark ultra red pearl. lol so he said if he gets aproved then he wants to paint it that color

 

I had an 03 and Mechanically it was fine, took me to 100K Miles!!!

Issues I had

1. Paint faded, the roof turned pink, clear coat failed and got rough patches.
2. Brakes Faded to an Ugly Pink as well.
3. The Sun roof got REALLY sketchy and would get stuck, make noise while driving
4. Suspension failed at 33K but I did lower it with TIEN H-Techs, HUGE mistake, bad handling
5. Wing faded really bad but I had it repainted.
6. Towards the end something was loose so it felt like the wheels were off balance so the car would shake at speed (60+) and idk what it was so I traded it in and Got an IX. It wasn't the wheels, maybe a loose wheel hub or something.


The IX IMHO is better the the VIII in every way, much better.

 

Ball joits or tie rods maybe??????not sure and yeah everyone gets the faded calipers,which I gotta redo in the spring and when my wing faded like they all will sooner or later it just got painted the same kolor as the car,so no more cf wing,which is good.
I never heard about the sunroof issue,too bad mine doesn't have one
And if the roof faded pink im assuming you have a RR one. Yeah I've only seen one so far that hasn't faded,and it looks bada$$,but takes a lot of maintenance to keep that way

 

Mitsubishi CANNOT build a sunroof. I had the same issue with my 1995 TSi AWD. It would just stick, sometimes get stuck open. Just an issue with the track. The same exact issue happened with my 03 Evo. They just stop working after a while.


This is EXACTLY the reason I got a IX MR, absolutely ZERO chance of a sunroof issue, they got it right with the MR.

 

can an 05 evo 8 turbo do 23 or 24 psi and last as long as a 9 turbo. or just buy a 9 turbo if he wants to run that. (on 91 oct.)
