well. I had the stuff put on. Unfortunately, the install sucked a$$. As I left the garage, I felt a super soft pedal feel and the brakes didn't engage until the pedal was almost to the floor and then they basically locked up! Thanks Tunex! So, I was trying to figure out what they did wrong and I believe they only bled the outside bleed valves and neglected to do the inside valve of the rotors. I guess they're not used to rotors with bleed valves on both sides. So, I've got to take it back and have them do it right. I looked up a walk-through in the other forums and I'll take the instructions with me this time to show the guys the correct way to do what I am paying them for. I'll let you know how the slotted Brembos with the Hawks HPS's feel after they get set up right. Wish me luck! I apologize if this is a stupid question, but does anyone know if this will mess up my break in period for the pads as I have now driven on them for several miles with an messed up install???

hawk pads= trash

people love to jump on the hawk bandwagon on this forum. i guess they cant tell the difference between good and sh!tty brake pads

and you completely spent to much if you bought brembo rotors... definately could of spent that money better

i have hawk HPS pads and at first i liked them, then i began actually driving and now im not a fan. heat up really quick, experience brake fade very quick, and they are loud as all hell under high speed hard braking. ive heard better things about HP pads but right now im just considering getting something better all around. also have rotorpro rotors and love them, priced fair, good performance...etc. +100^ brembos are way to expensive. gl my man

Pretty much the same experience I had on the HPS pads.

Satisfied GS5 or GS6's, GiroDisc Magics, Performance Friction Z's - better braking than the HPS and still great on price.

for 1/2 the price of what he spent on just the front or rear brembo rotors he could of had 4 slotted rotor pro rotors..
i still cant believe he spent so much on rotors

pads make the biggest difereance but i actually like slotted rottors are good for racing cause the cool off better than blanks but if you just autocross and dont road course get good pads and blanks but if you road course get slotted rottors and good pads

Slots are not about cooling the rotor, but de-gasing the pads.

I will be going back to blanks come spring (turnable if needed - slotted are not).

Not Hawks, at least not for AXing. HT/DTC for track - yes.

I run the Satisfied GranSport GS5's (100-850F, .49 drag coefficient). The Performance Friction Z's are a good pad too. The DS2500s have gobs of initial bite too. Porterfield RS4's are good too. Ult Axxis - same.
