easiest way to get to 450hp?

easiest way to get to 450hp?

hi i have an viii with a ix turbo,255,k+n typhoon,perrin catback,megan downpipe and test pipe,megan mani,hmbc and was recently tuned by sean ivey and got 312.7hp 312.5torque i was trying to get to about 450hp give or take a few Any suggestions of the easiest way eg meth,fmic or whatever any suggestions are appreciated

meth kit, mbc, intercooler maybe cams too, then your second option would be a 35r kit.

MBC, BR Race FMIC and Piping, BR 272 cams, AEM EMS, FP Red, BR Ported and Polished Stock manifold. That should put you there. Oh, and ditch the KN Typhoon and get a BR Intake, the typhoon has proved to loose power.

^why the need for a standalone? Obv it would free up some more power but hes only looking to get to 450hp. And +1 on ditching the Typhoon. Ive only heard bad things about that. Only other thing I would add would be some injectors but thats a given.

the cams are easier to tune on the ems, and you would also gan about 20 more hp on the aem.

You can reach 450whp on many setups without the AEM EMS, stock ECU is just fine.

i agree it should be in another forum.

I also never said you have to have the ems, i just pointed it out, if he has the funds its good for some extra hp. But yes, someone like mellon can deffinately tune the BR cams on the stock ecu.

+2. unless you build your motor, your pretty unlikely to get 450 with cams, meth, etc etc.

im running a 35r pump (meth pump leaks :'( at 27 psi making 463. with kelford 272s, etc etc.

No one claimed you said you had to. It is just very unnecessary, so I pointed it out.

A FP red, GSC S2's, and all other bolt ons should get you pretty close to 450whp on a dyno jet. If meth, e-85 or race gas is in the picture it should be pretty simple.

Cheap - IX Turbo, MBC, TBE, Meth, Cams, and a good tune should get you there no problem. Dynojet of course
Pricey - 35r Kit (or similar), MBC, Injectors, TBE, Cams and a good tune on pump will get you there as well

What does a built motor have to do with anything ? I dont recall the OP mentioning his stock motor hurting ? You can make 500+ hp on a stock block all day long.

To the OP , as long as you have the correct fuel supply and TBE, I would sugguest a fp red, cams and a decent Front mount. That should get you 450hp. You can add meth if you are not able to achieve that on straight pump.

If your budget allows, Obviously a 35r kit can get the 450hp pretty easy.

i would suggest searching. there is a wealth of knowledge on this site.

arp head studs
turn the boost up
meth
cams
injectors
and like others have mentioned ditch that k&n
