TSI to SI to STi to GSR New Guy

New to the forums, My first taste of Mitsu was in'01 with my 1990 Talon TSi AwD. Which I still own. Then I bought a used '00 Civic Si. I loved that car and that was what got me into auto-x. In '06 I had started to look for a used EVO or STi and a beautiful low mileage Black '05 STi was traded into my the Dealership I was working at. So I did a lot of auto-xing and ended up STU Champ for the NER region in 2008. Now for the last two years I've been working at a Mitsu Dealer North of Boston. They have been bugging me to buy a new GSR for the last year. I finally gave in. I'm picking up an '08 Apex Silver. Brand new base car, no body kit, no other options. I also co own and co drive a '95 Mirage as a rally-x car.

My dad and I did the whole motor over, EVO III 16g 22psi, DSMLink. When it runs right. It made with a crappy tune 230whp on 15psi.

I took home the EVO last night. I thought the last generation was a little to harsh for DD that is why I had the Subaru. But with this model, it is just as fast, just as sharp, but tighter and quieter than the last generation. Just driving the car easy for break in purpose is a joy.

congrats!

Its a short matter of time before you've got TBE, UICP, MBC, and other acronyms that cost money and make you go faster!

So far I really like it and I'm just keeping an eye out for any of the common problems. Which none, I think are really bad. Every car I have ever seen has had some sort of common quirks that need to be worked around or fixed. Over all I think Mitsu's quality has come up greatly in the last ten years.

Werd. Coming from a srt-4 to the evo x, the only complaint I have is the x is too quiet. I miss not even looking at the tach and knowing exactly what rpm I'm at by tone of exhaust when I'm doing a third gear pull.
