Hi, I'm pretty new to the site, i've checked out some things on various threads but havnt really posted. Figured i'd say hi and post some pics.

 

Welcome! Have fun with your Evo, and keep it safe in the streets. These things are wicked fast! If not already, you might want some winter tires based on your pics.

On a side note, I'm still a newbie according to EvoM. Not sure how two years and 95 posts makes me a newbie, but oh well... Anyone know how many posts to not be a newbie anymore?

Get some snow tires or at least some all seasons if your going to drive in the snow, if it doesnt have them already. Summer performance tires are like ice skates and enough LY Evo's have died already.

 

right now its got the stock tires on it... im getting new ones in spring

 

wellcome where abouts in ma u located im in lowell and when posting in a newbie thread wont get you post counts. are you planning on bring your car to NED this season at all or do you not race

 

i actually bought this car off a friend in lowell... im from the worcester area

right now im trying to make sure the car wont blow up... its had some problems since i bought it... once i get it in great shape i did plan on racing my dad in his vett this summer...

i had the timing belt replaced thur/friday (60k tune up but it was never done) also had a crank seal, cam seal, valve cover gasket...etc, then sat i drove my friend to work and after i dropped him off i got off the highway and heard boom...then metal clanging around... then lots and lots of smoke... exhaust manifold bolt shot out and oil pissed all over my turbo manifold... fortunately doesnt seem to be any additional damage... so basically i want to make sure nothing like this is going to happen again from daily driving (not beating on it) before i race it

mine put down 272 to the wheels on ESP dyno... were you there on monday?? if so, so was i LOL

 

nice when did u get it i dont remeber seeing an yellow evo around here in a while who is your friend? and the last time i was at esp ways about 2 months ago for a dyno day with 2 other guys from evom and a bunch from NEAWD i think lol well hopefully u get everything setteld so you and ur dad can go to the track ans ill race ya hahah

 

Ya once everything get settled i'd love to head up to the track... would be my first time on a track because any of my other cars i didnt bother cuz i didnt wanna be embarassed... but gotta be a first for everythin right

thats funny cuz there was an apex silver 06 MR there while i was there, i talked to the guy for a few min

i would love to beat my dad... hes always talking shi*t... i took him for a ride and he was shocked... he was on the phone with one of his friends after and he was like "you wouldnt believe it but this thing is just like the vet" ... i loved every second of it
