The evo tranny and transfercase can handle high amounts of power and running 9's. If you shift the right way and launch the right way you should not break parts. Cant blame the car all the time... might be the driver... dont take it personal

Bad idea

sounds like a dumb idea to be trying to do this. If you want to "chirp" 2nd gear then try doing it in a honda.

woah i had forgot all about this thread until now lol

First of all, I'm not "aiming" to chirp the tires. Of course it's not good for the car. I was merely asking how so many other people were able to do it. I took my car for a few quick sprints and noticed that the tires never chirped lol. You guys make it sound like im setting a goal of trying to chirp the tires. Surely not the case!! ne ways thanks for all the replies

Like everyone said, not for awd cars. I don't break traction anyway, and I have around 370-380whp, unless I'm in poor road or tire conditions.

Ive been in a very very stout evo8 that chirped(read spun like a hamster wheel) 3rd at 60+ on the highway, its not all its cracked up to be

Go outside and listen to some birds to feed the need?
