Hi everyone

Just got my 2002 Lancer LS yesterday, so a friend told me I should find a lancer site to find out how to supe it up and stuff. Anyways since im new around here I thought i'd say hi, I'll search around the forums before I start asking questions, but any advice for a beginner? Thanks.

I don't own a Lancer, however I have seen a lot a very specific information on this site. They will be able to answer pretty much any questions you may have.

Welcome and congratulations on your purchase

Let's hear some details about your new ride, color for instance? Like the guy before me said, I'll be happy to share as much knowledge as I can.

Welcome.

Welcome aboard. You'll be one of our few LS tuners I believe. Not that our cars are different anyway. Out of curiousity, did you get the ABS package or is that standard on the LS?

I got the preferred package for the LS so that included ABS and duel front side airbags. Took what they had off the lot so I could get their 0 down deal. It's a cool metalic grey color, I'll put some pics up of it later for you guys to see. So far everything is stock so theres not much to say about it. One thing I know I want to add to it is some green lights and get it suped up enough to beat my friends civic. Only problem is I had to get the 4 speed automatic version so me and my wife could drive it and I know thats bad, i've already heard enough about not getting a stick from my friends.

Well it being auto is not going to help your goal of beating your friends car too...unless his civic's an auto too

auto vs. manual = tremendous amount of difference

i thought the ls package only came in auto... well anyways... if your trying to win in a quartermile race... its going to take a lot of money to beat the civic...unless its an auto too.. but if your talking about up to top speed... an auto is faster then a manual in 70-100 range... unless he has a lot of work done...then you just need to pour money into the lancer... well i was thinking about getting the ls too because of the abs... but when i saw the yellow... i changed my mind... well good luck with your car... and welcome aboard this forum...

I dont think my friends civic is going to be too hard to beat, its 117hp and all hes added is a hyperblinker and some blue hood lights. Its a stick though so he does have an advantage.

So it's not an EX, not close to an SI and has no performance mods, then you can do the minimal bolt-ons and beat it. Have fun.

Here's what you can do: Intake, Header, cat-back Exhaust, and throttle body...you'll surely win then
