Which Evo IX?

Hello, I'm new here. I'm 14 years old. I want to get a Evo IX in the future, but i don't know which one to get. I did some research about the Evo IX's. They say that over time the MR's will have a 4th gear transmission problem and have slower acceleration than the regular Evo IX. I'm gonna have the Evo as a daily driver. I will put a exhaust and a intake on it. I will keep the stock DV on it. So which Evo IX do you guys think i should get?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Altho by then i don't know if I would want to buy a 10 year old "tuner" car that 4-6 people have beat the crap out of.

By then you could most likely get an evo X for 15g

hey man, i know everyone is just saying "hey hes only 14" but good to see a kid thats into cars and knows what he wants. Other posters may be right about not starting off with an evo, but hey if you can afford it and want to then enjoy it but be safe. ive heard mixed reviews about the MR tranny, a lot of problems for some people, others say theres none. depends on what you want. 6th gear mite be nice for dd and highway, and you get the bbs wheels and nicer suspension.

i wanted an 9 instead of my 8 but couldnt afford it. you should look into a 9 with the se package, get the great 5 speed but still get the lip and wheels that look so good. good luck waiting all that time, but hey it will make it even sweeter when you do. gl man

Yeah thats for sure. But this is going to be my first car. I might be able to get it at 16. My dad owns a Gas Station. I'm starting to save up my money for it. But I still don't know which one to get...
