They could prolly handle a 35 or even 50 shot, but like 100 times over and over again...No I cant think of any car you can buy stock that could handle NoS over and over again on a daily basis, so it all depends on how you treat it really.

Find someone who's had nitrous in his/her Lancer and give that person a PM. I think you'll find most of them had the same problem...damaging pistons.

quite a few people have had engine problems after running NOS. Some of them are successfully running turbo setups now. If you get forged pistons, only use 35-50, and only use it occasionally, you're less likely to have trouble, but it's still possible. Besides, refilling that bottle gets expensive.

And read my signature too.

I busted the ring lands on my lancer running a 55 shot. My car has been down for two months waiting on forged piston. So go ahead and run nitrous. I didnt believe it either. The ring lands just connot take the extra boost from the nitrous. Even if you put forged piston in you are still looking at problems. Just not as soon.

Dont listen to these guys. i ran a 18.4 at rmr in salt lake stock. that is terrible. i than ran a 15.8 on a slipping clutch with a 100 shot. my car just recently bogged out on me and is now sitting in the garage. if it breaks, put something better in it. great way to learn engines, thats for sure!
