Camber plate install
I just bought some very nice Cusco Camberplates from Performance Autowerks, and was wondering if I had to completely remove the strut for install? My car currently sits with Tein coilovers.
If you don't know what camber you want your car set at, either take it to a shop that does performance alignments. Are you tuning for track or street? If street, you should probably keep it close to stock settings or else you'll just burn the inside or outside of your tires due to improper camber settings.
If it's for track, find someone with a tire thermometer, take the car out to a skid pad and do tight circles followed immediately by temperature measurements from the outer, middle and inner portions of the tires on the side of the car on the outside of the turn. The goal being, of course, to keep the temperature as consistent throughout the gripping surface of the tire.

I installed these cusco plates tonight and it was really easy. Dident even need the completly remove the strut just the pillow top.
One reason I upgraded was because it would creak in the front end. area (shocks)....I checked it out and the pillow mounts where cracking. After the install I took the car out for a spin. Rode stright, bearly noticed any noise over bumps etc. I can still hear a little sumthing when more pressure is added to one strut. Could the struts need to be re-greased??? There Tein flex's.

check to see if it's ruptured. I don't know anything about tein dampers, but if you feel underneath, you might feel oil leaking out. Usually the strut will be covered with tons of sand due to the oil leaking if it is ruptured. Other than that, make sure there aren't any rocks in the coils. Struts should not, as far as I know, need to be greased. The pillowballs on my car need to be greased every once in a while or they creak...

OK OK OK I lied. Just today the springs started making noise like they where binding (pinging) around turns sometimes.
Seriosly I thought putting the camberplates on would quite this thing up...But Its still making allkinds of noise any ideas?
Mine did that also, I lubricated the top and bottom seats of the spring, because on my coils, there is a plastic seat they sit in. When the wheels turn left or right, the shock rotates. This led to the springs binding rotationally against the seats and making a binding noise when they slipped.
