New Owner: S2000 to a EVO IX

All i can say is wow! Ther is a night and day difference between these two cars. But theres still some pros and cons on both cars. Ive had the S2 since March 07 and the car is a quick car that was meant to handle and thats what it does, handle. Power was decent with some bolt ons. But no way does it compare to the Evo. The Evo has nice quick steering just like the s2000. Power is much more so than the S2000. The only thing i dont really like about the Evo is the shifting compared to the S2000. People whove driven an S2000 know what Im talking about LOL. But i love both cars. Its good to have both cars for different days.

Im new to this Forum and am looking for advice from you guys. This is my first DSM because i was always strictly Honda. But for my first DSM i must say i love it already.

Welcome! I have to agree with you on the shifting between the two. I drove both already and the s2k shifting is amazing. BUT!!!! EVO OVERALL FTW! =) Post some pics of your 2 rides ASAP!

Technically the cars Mitsu makes today are not DSM's. Welcome and I am glad you like the Evo. I know a guy who went the other way, Evo -->S2K

Welcome to the board; I too had a S2k before my Evo. I really do miss it a lot though, I've been semi-shopping for another one. Tough to really compare the cars though since they are so different and both have their advantages/disadvantages.

Evo advantage ---> Taking your gf out to shop around the mall (many bags)
S2K disadvantage ---> Limiting your gf to shop and to fit all her items in one bag. Then getting ready to be yelled at for not taking a bigger car

LOL, got bored and thought of that =P

S2000 advantage ----> no room for children
Evo advantage -------> room for many hot strippers

Is that the AP1? Rev up to 9k rpm? If only they made the rev limiter the same for the AP2.

Yeap thats an ap1. revs up 9k redline. yea ap2 revs alittle lower their less compression so no need to go to high in revs. ive driven and riden in both and the ap2 is a little bit faster low end and maybe a little faster high end. but it just doesnt give the same raw driving feeling as the ap1 with the stiffer suspension and higher redline.

naw didnt really veer away from vtec. i still have the s2000. but i heard the evo IX have MIVEC sorta similar isnt it. ?
