newb who can't make up his mind!!!
lol well we are in mustang country lol
hey man whats up! i'm the guy with the red IX. when are you leaving? maybe we can meet up and i can show my car.
the GTO is a great car with an awesome engine but just look at my sig. minimal boltons just TBE, MBC, K&N drop in and stock heads, stock cams and stock FMIC i got a 12.5. there is a guy on base with a black GTO and he's in the 12's to but i think he has some more in depth parts (cam..etc) hopefully you'll get the car you want but the evo is better lol

The dude with the black gto in 12s is my good friend, I know youve seen me at the track couple weekends ago, I think it was during nt/grudge racing. Yea youre right he has alot of money into that car and he got 12.5 once, he always has me film his races... Haha I remember you looking at your time slip and saying cmonnnn I know this car is faster. I wont be around next weekend, I'm leaving this week but its all good I can hit yall up when I get back and get this show on the road...hopefully dee at the credit union can sell my car and I can just come back and BAM buy any car I want and not have to worry about tradeins or any dealer bs.
yeah that day wasnt a good one for me! my best run was a 12.6 missing 4th gear. the rest of the day i had trouble shifting it into 4th but thats nothing that a front motor mount wont cure. and it's fairly cheap too. i burned out my clutch on the last run of the day. my dumba$$ left the clutch in alittle to long while coming out of the hole and it killed the clutch lol. no biggie i have everything needed to upgrade just have to order the front motor mount today and i'll be set for saturday.
i know the car is a bit faster this time around i bumped up the boost to around 24.5psi (according to the gauge), selftuned with advice from my tuner and my 60' were 1.69 -1.7 with 7.9s 1/8th miles just missing 4th gear killed the run lol.

yeah i look at it the same way you do. i have an ACT street disc with a streetlite flywheel ready for install. that should help with the 60' in hands with the 11psi i'm building off the 2step. another Evo>GTO example lol
well its a launch aid. a stock evo IX had it set to 5Krpm and a stock 8 had it set above the redline. it can be useful once it is set to a RPM range you want.
it alows you to build boost off the line. i have mine set to 5500rpm which is normal for my range of mods/power. normally if i remember correctly stock 2step is set to around 5-7psi. my tuner raised mine to about 11psi. all this can be adjusted through flashing the ECU which is simple as well. in fact i've been learning the tuning process myself and actually tuned my car for the higer boost. but i still havent let the 2step build the entire 11psi off the line yet. last time i tried it broke my tires loose.
the 2step is hell on the drivetrain if it isnt done right (Transfer cases and transmissions suffer a bit). it's best to slip the clutch a bit to minimize the shock on the drivetrain. but it sure helps with the 60' on street tires. its fun lol
