MAF sensor needed
MAF sensor needed
Hey guys I am new to the site and have had my EVO VIII for about a year now. When I was removing the stock air box to clean up the MAF sensor one of the bolts that is held in by the plastic sleeve broke. The nuts have lock tight and I have no way of removing the bolt and damaged
a couple of the honeycombs. If any one has a MAF sensor for an EVO VIII let me a know a price and shipping.

If your talking about the bolt that connects the maf to the intake box then its not something to worry about. Three bolts holding the maf to the intake should be fine because there is no pressure at that area. Just vacuum.
And regarding the honey comb being messed up. If you cant fix it with needle nose pliers you can do one of the following.
a. Look for a new maf at the classifieds (Buy/Sell) section
or
b. Modify the maf

I actually just modified my 8 with a peakboost GT30R kit and AEM EMS and converted it over to speed density for higher power and I no longer need my MAF sensor. PM me with an offer and we can go from there. It is the OEM piece and has less than 25,000 miles on it. You can go to www.myspace.com/hondab16tuner and check it out on my pics page.
