We've been down this modding road already. Lets try a different path?

Why would you do both? It seems silly to spend 1000$+ converting it into a DOHC when that could be spent upgrading the internals so you can run more boost. Most people aren't going to want to go for such a hardcore route (DOHC conversion, turbo kit, bolt-ons, etc). I would just pick one and go for it. If you went the DOHC route, you could make an all NA motor that can rev high.

See thats my problem right now, I don't know of a good shop around really in the cities area in Minnesota as well as online distributors. I have a few friends who have performance stuff in their cars and they typically did most of it themselves and talk about how lots of places wont do installs with stuff you dont get from them and what not. Some of these sites look pretty good as far as what there is out there to build a turbo and what not. I think I just need to look around for a shop and get to know these people and what not. I'd like to learn a lot about the car/engines just for future reasons.

So a quick question too, because Im a noob. Whats the difference between a short shifter and a regular shifter. Obviously one shorter, but is there a noticeable difference? I got a new shift knob that is sick but the pole is long, I was thinking about trimming my old knob down so it could fit with the boot and no pole inbetween, but is there a big difference?

And have any of you had an issue with taking your front plate off? Cuz the bolt on mine just spin, I dont wanna take mine off I just wanna put a thing on it because its super bent and I wanna move it to the side. You guys might think "why does that matter" but it does to me, so Im curious how to get it off if any of you have had that issue. Thanks!

If I were you I'd maybe do some minor dress-up stuff to try and wring the ugly out of it, but for the most part save your money for the real deal!

Yea I had the same problem. See if you can hold the rubber plug with some pliers or something while turning the screw.

Well if it was that easy where I could just "get the evo" trust me I would, but thats not really an option right now. I just want to make my car more fun, because its mine for the next year or 2 so I want more out of it. Otherwise trust me, I'd be outside in my evo right now, not on here!

This is quoted for those Evo owners who say "just buy an Evo".
