Though I realize that it's pretty stupid to waste money on bolt on stuff onto the lancer, but like some other college people, WE HAVE A TIGHT BUDGET AND WE DO LIKE OUR LANCERS, I think that the RRM Short Ram intake is one of the best upgrades for me. Maybe my original intake(aka. The HUGE BOX) was not functional properly(no bolts holding it, the clip holding was damaged) when i bought the car, so when i put my intake on, my car not only got a LOT smoother, my mid-rpm can go to a much higher speed and with way nicer noises.(eg. 5k rpm might get me 90 while now 4.2-4.5k is 90) Turbos are much greater, but getting some bolt-on stuff makes it fun and is NOT really USELESS. Turbos are great, bolt-ons give ****ty low hp, but who cares.

Im sure this has been answered a hundred times and this makes me a noob, but whats the difference between bolt on and clips or whatever?

Has anyone else had a problem with your car trembling from snow? My car rumbles when I hit like 70 but only when its snowing or there is snow on the road. I think it has to do with packed snow in the springs or a packed wheel well, I clean that **** out every time before and after I drive but it still does it.

What do you mean by trembling?
Even if you live in snowy weather, same as me, the road should be cleared. And why trembling at 70? I suggest you go check the car out.

I think it had something to do with alignment or the wheel well. I got up under the car and took a little pick and gently scrapped that stuff out and it stopped so Im sure it was just snow blocking in the tires. We recently got a thick batch of snow here the other day and they never get the roads cleared right away, but the car is good now!

I have had snow frozen to inside of (open) wheels that create horrible inbalance on the highway.

yea that could have been it too because I had a lot of snow in the actual tires. I let it sit in the warm garage over night and chopped it all out and its been good now. I just hate putting my car in the garage with all that salt all over it and I dont want to wash it if it keeps snowing and they keep salting the hell out of the road.

If it has snow in the tires, you have bigger problems. Just try taking a snow brush and picking away some of the buildup in the wheels. I get the same exact problem.

Well not in the wheels themselves, but it gets packed in between the brakes and the rims. It gets packed in there pretty bad when it snows a lot like it did the other day. But its all good now!
