Buying a used E9.

hey guys,

Im intending to get a used E9. Any advice on ways to check the chassis for damage?

Advices on other things to look out when shopping for a used evo will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Check Turbo for any shaft play/ transmission/Clutch/Transfer Case/Brakes/Tires those are some of the most worn out things on a used EVO.

Referring to the Lancer Evolution as a E9 is weird.. are you coming from a Honda/Acura platform..lol

Take the intake off from the turbo, grab the turbine fan and see if its solid or if it has any play in it. There shouldn't be any play up or down or in and out. For the tranny and transcase, I'd listen for any whinning sound and feel for any grinds when shifting.
