I just changed my oil with Amsoil. I also kept the used Mobil 1 oil to do an analysis. Mostly to see which one held up better.

I also found a major difference when adding a petroleum lubricant. HUGH!!! Shortly after my oil change I added ProLong lubricant. The engine reacts faster and is extreamly soooth at high RPM's. No heavy vibrations at 7500 RPM's

All I'm saying is if your looking for a significate difference in engine performance when changing your oil, try this stuff ProLong.

I don't know which is better for the Tranny and diff but I have used the Mitsu fluids and Redline. I recently switched back to the mitsu fluids and biggest difference is noise. The drive train was a lot less noisy with the redline fluids. However, that doesn't mean that redline is better. Logically it would make sense that the less noise the better because the noise might be due to increased friction.

Mobil Oil is one of the biggest oil producers in the world. They do millions in R&D as opposed to some of these smaller companies. I would trust mobil over the other companies. As for castrol they don't actually manufacture any of their products. They buy their products from the other oil producers.

Agreed besides that Its what Mitsu said was the best to run on this car and they have done more testing than most of us when it comes to a line of cars.

A little food for thought...especially for those with "warranty" on the brain. These are guys who have seen more TCs and Rear ends than most of us...I'm sticking with the DiaQueen for the TC and Diff...Synchromesh in the Tranny.

High hp and GL 4 oil = howling front dif.

Stick with factory for the dif oils and you'll have fewer problems
