So, Im sure its been asked, but I couldn't find any threads. Im finally getting my Evo this summer. I have found a couple of IX SEs that are bone-stock with low miles and in great shape. They want 23-26k for them. I took my wifey to look at a X MR. She likes the fact that its an auto (she can't drive std). Plus, I believe the X's have less problems than the IXs. But, the X is ALOT more $$.

So which should I go with? Get the IX SE or spend the extra $$ and get the X MR? Im indecisive. My buddies say I should get the IX, but the X really seems to call my name .

Go with the IX. You can mod it with the money you save over the X. The IX has been proven

x mr is nice but i had a se and man was it great and i like the 5 speed better if the mr was 6 speed thats different but its not

if the car is gonna be yours and the wife is getting her very own car i say evo 9 all the way but if its going to be a community car its only fair to get the X MR as i stated earlier keep the wife happy and she will keep you happy. NOW WHATS TO STOP YOU FROM TEACHING HER HOW TO DRIVE A STANDARD???

I've tried several times, actually. She just doesn't like it. She forgets to shift, thus revving the car to Honda-heaven and making the motor go bouncity-bounce off the rev-limiter. She tries, heaven knows she tries. But, she doesn't care for it. I replaced to clutch in my Integra because of her .

I really have considered the IX SE. It would be more in the ballpark of my price range, plus there is SO MUCH aftermarket support for it already :cough: Buschur 35R :cough:

i think ull have more fun with the IX and it looks a lot better to me

I traded my ix se in for an evo x mr.It was one of the dumbiest things I think I ever did.The ix stock would kill the x mr modded.Im pissed everday I traded it.Its the wifes car so i dont have to drive it much. thank goodness.one more thing 4g63 ftw
