Hey there

The evo has always been my dream car, and while I do not have the money to afford it yet. But after operation evo(saving money) is complete. Hopefully before Dec of 09 if not Feb 2010....anyhow

Which model should i go for? From 15k-17k... My friend is already planning to sell me his 05 Evo for 16k, but i would like to keep my options open. What are the differences? I dont plan on doing heavy moddings, but if i wanted too which model should i go for? And are they reliable? I want to ask more questions but it seems i dont know what i should ask...

And when buying an EVO how do i Know if it running efficiently? What signs should i look for? What do you guys do when buying an evo to see if its reliable?

Sorry for all the questions, but i want to buy this car badly, so i dont make any decisions i will later on regret..

Money isnt an issue...so i could careless how much i spend( not that im saying im rich) i can live off bread on water :P

Since you have some time before you commit and buy an Evo...take some time to drive each model and search the web often for Evo's for sale on craigslist etc. You never know when someone is in need of quick cash and willing to drop the price to make a quick sale. Good luck!

You should know your friends car the best. Does he take care of it? Does he abuse the car? If you think he does a really good job of keeping the car in tip top condition that car is your best bet. A lot of people abuse their evos, so be careful when you are picking one out.

I dont understand how you can say money isnt an issue and then say $17k max? lol

Just do alot of research on the car. Check it out to make sure no leaks and mech issues.
If its your friends keep an eye on it on how he drives and takes care of it

Its gonna be beat regardless where you buy it from

you dont ever want to buy cars from freinds period thats bad blood. what if something is seriously wrong with it and you buy it and he is like no refunds dude type deal. then you just lost a friendship dont buy from people you know period. Go out and search autotrader ebay craiglist this forum for evos and pick one up there. There are many guides on the forum for newbie evo buyers read them and get familer with what needs to be looked at
