Nows a great time to buy, lots of people letting stuff go for cheaps. One thing i've learned is don't settle on stuff. Figure out what you want and don't settle for anything less or youll never be happy. I saw 5 evos before buying mine, I kinda settled on it since it wasn't the color I wanted and had some issues with it but I got it so freaking cheap It didn't matter because I thought i'd be happier with a tricked out evo than a nicer stockish black X mr.
Do some thinking on what you want, guarenteed you'll find at least 5grand of "needed" parts in the first week or two.

no telling what the prices will be when your able to drive, you dont have to get an MR, you could start off with a base EVO, you dont need the crem de le crem for a first car

the 5 speed is better for big power. THe 6 speed is so that cruising on the highway is more pleasant. the 5 speed will be what you want do a lot of research on this site.

5 speed, plently of Evo 9's on down for under 20k with low miles and are available everywhere, right now.

If you pay over 20 for anything but an Evo X right now, you probably payed too much.

Because youre 14, never driven a car before (illegally if you have), and you plan on getting into a car that is more than you can handle. if your parents buy this for you, itll most likely be another evo ending up totaled.

no. it isnt. either way, everyone on this site could tell you up and down to not get an evo just yet cause you still need to learn how to drive but youll still go for it. start small.

Agreed. I have the MR 6-speed. Great to cruise around with but at the track its a pain.

IMO- i love my 6 speed because i dont track very often, i have a street monster that i drive like a baby (looks completely stock) but put to shame any car that asks for it (vettes, shelbys, gallardo, etc) <---- all on the track of course i do not condone illegal street racing.
