Yeah, i just went to the dealership with my awsome 14yr old drawling skillz and drew up a siiiik liscense! went to a bugattil dealership and testeded one of them pos bugatti's and it wasn't ****!!

then skipped to a Lambo dealer and did the same thing!!!!

my neighbor has a silver 370z base model, my friend chris has the rsx, my friend parker has the 240, and the evo, ne of my friends gregg, the tc is zach's so.. **** off *******, i used the 240 and evo as a comparison..

 

You know, I said the same exact thing when I first got my Evo. You know what happened next? I burnt out the clutch within the first 2 weeks of owning one. I spent a lot of money on tools and spare parts just trying to get it back up and running. It's been on jack stands for over a month now! Went from a Scion tC 160HP FWD stock strait to an Evo 8 with coilovers and it was the biggest jump I ever felt.

I'll tell you my own experience with the stock Evo clutches. They grab really well but because they are soft, they can burn out more quickly then other stock clutches out there. I can tell you I beated on my tC a lot but when I did the same things to the Evo, doesn't mix well.

OEM Exedy clutch - $300 off eBay
Tools (I did the clutch job myself) - $600
Parts - $400
If you were to send it to a shop for them to do the clutch (12 hr flat rate) - $500

Heed my warning. Don't launch the Evo at redline EVER! You'll not only be paying high insurance, but will end up paying for what you broke on it. An Evo is not a Honda where you beat it to hell and it still runs fine. This is a Mitsubishi. They don't really know how to make a car reliable.... You really must care for Mitsubishis if you want them to last a very long time.

 

Your friends must not value their cars.

 

ha look i can do that to. my friend billy bob has an enzo he lets me borrow to get groceries. my one legged grandma who can't drive herself around lets me drive her shelby gt around town cuz she can't gas and clutch at the same time. my boy ruthless here lets me drive his evo because he knows i have an evo too and us evo guys are tight like that. ha. keep throwing things out there, it's really not helping your case....
