CHEAPEST WAY TO GET 350whp+
I want 350-400whp.. im trying to think what would be the cheapest way of getting there...
I have a EVO 8 year 2003
- I was thinking doing E85 but idk how much that would cost with install ect...
- Was also thinking about keeping stock turbo but dont know if it is capable of 350whp+ "remember year 2003."
- My 3rd choice is 9 turbo or a 30r....
What would be the cheapest way to reach my goal?
if you have a better idea please share
My mods now are.. cat-back, MBC, Drop in filter..

BEST VALUE MODS
1. Test pipe $100
2. MBC $100
3. IX/JDM DV (assuming your OEM plastic DV leaks) $100
4. E85 tune (including Walbro and injectors) $800
This should get you 350whp on a DynoJet.
If you want a bit more, or to hit your goal with less strain, then step up to the IX turbo. That's what I did. $500 (used).

Well 5LEEPERISAH23I atleast definitely research, as a matter of fact just above your thread there's Sticky called Official-evo-modding-dummies
Very informative... These questions as far as power can be found in this forum, now if you have specific questions as to what is the value of some of the parts or where can you get them cheaper ask away or find it here Evo VENDOR "Classifieds"
Oh and you can click on the blue Hyperlinks.

cheapest way would run NOS and Meth. lol
do some research, there's tons of info on there with people's success on power mods
-you will definitely want cams...get 280/280s.
-test pipe
-downpipe
-E85 support mods are (upgraded fuel pump, and 750cc or bigger injectors)
-tune
then you should be around 350, maybe a little more if you go E85
-used o2 dumb or qtp dp (this one is a little pricey)
this will help you get more power. if you get QTP downpipe, forget getting a test pipe...you can even sell your current catback and just use a stock catback.

You should call Buschur Racing, Dynoflash, just to name a few up there where you live, it might be a couple hours away from where you live, ask them how much they would normally charge.
