evo question

a guy is tryin to sell me his 2003 8 for 19.5 with 60k miles on it

list of mods: ACT clutch, Turbo back exhaust, HKS Intake, HKS mild Cams, HKS Blow-off valve, Apexi Turbo Times, Boost Controller, Lowered springs, Dyno Tuned at 360 RWHP, Kenwood Flip-out navigation, and Car-puter hooked up to the car threw the OBDII


good deal or not?

I would look towards 15k.

Unless you are buying that from a dealer.... its not a good deal. Evos are becoming less and less... but 17k is a fair price on a good looking 60k mile car. I almost want to say that 16-17 should be an ok price for an evo with good parts installed and no history of any issues.... for a 2003 model. But.. its funny how hard press you will be to find an evo 03 under $20k without any issues wrong with it.

Hmm... I'm going to go against the grain. If the aftermarket parts you're looking to install are already on there - it may not be such a bad price. I'm guessing the flip out navigation alone would retail close to $1G.

With all of the mods and miles, plus the fact that many Evo owners drive their cars hard and put them up wet, this car is worth no more than $15k.
