03' Evo 8 - 25k Miles...Worried?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums but have always had an appreciation for Evos In high school I owned an 02' WRX but my parents sold it when I went to europe for school. Now that I'm back I've been searching around for a car that will fulfill my need for speed / handling

I found a 03' Evo with 25k miles on it almost stock except for a turbo back exhaust. The owner moved to Japan a few years back so his car has been sitting in his parents garage. It has been started once or twice a month since he has left. What things should I look for when I go see this car within the next few days? I'm going to do a carfax vehicle history report, but anything I should be worried about with this car? Could it be too good to be true ? The car was listed @ 20,000$ but the owner lowered the price to 18,600 after I emailed him. Any input would be greatly appreciated since I'm an evo noob!

Have it inspected before making the decision to buy. It "sounds" like a good deal for a basically stock evo. Good miles too. GO a head an start planing for a clutch replacement withing 6-12 months if you do buy it.

If you worried take the car to a good shop so they can check the car for you, that's what I would do

Something I've learned while searching for my Evo...

if it's too good to be true, usually is.

It could be a Salvage title. Make SURE you do a CarFax.
