I hate how the car feels like Civic when the AC is 'ON.'

dont want to sound stupid.. i am looking into getting an evo and most people are talking about the tranny. how bad are they??

 

depends how it was treated. they arent "THAT" bad.. but its something to ***** about once you got one.. like a wife.. she cant be THAT BAD or you wouldnt have gotten married... but you still can *****..

I think they are not really that bad, indeed they aren't. I own two trannys one 2003 gsr 5 speed and the other 2006 6 speed MR thats currently intalled by myself. I'm not a hard driver but as my DD I have had no problems at all. Must peoples abuse them shifting at high revs and later confront different issues. Final thought bad drivers rather than trannys.

 

I sometimes dislike not have CC but most often i hate the fact that I can't simply ride down the road with my dauhter in the back without some1 in a civic trying to race me

Apparently a lot of you guys have not owned any dsms before! Going from them to this is amazing. I have owned 2 1gs 1 2g and a galant vr4 and man this is just in general a well built car.

The tranny is clunky but overall strong
clear coat on the wings, calipers and well the overall car sucks but that is because it is light weight!
I guess the car is squeeky but to me it's better than every other Mitsubishi I have owned!

It is a race car not a luxury car it has it's faults some places in order to have great strenghts such as motor and honeslty the driveline is much better than the dsms much! I used to stack t-cases like wood for the dsms. If you bought this car for anything more than performance it's probably not a good car for you. You need to know how to do the basics.

Just remember it's made in japan not heaven.

Yeah no joke, U-turns are a pain in the rear, can't see half of that rear with the spoiler there. Can't do a barrel roll. Driving home to Nor*Cal on holidays sucks with no CC. Insurance burns the wallet. People lean on the wing AND use it to close the trunk. HP drops to -800 when the AC is on. But I still love her even will all her flaws, it's the inside that counts >: )

 

for me the, inssurrance are ridiculous, im 27 i dont have a perfect past (many ticket etc...) and its 700$ full but im in canada its maybe the reason!

The car is a money pit. I'm either spending money on performance parts or maintenance. I still will never get rid of her.
