If I upgrade to the Evo, where would I be tuned?

Hello,
Next summer I may be upgrading to an Evo X GSR. Most of you live near a shop with a dyno and adequate tuning know-how. I do not. I live in southern Montana. I would love to get some moderate upgrades (TBE, Intake, EBC, U/LICP, etc.) but I do not know of any worthy shop within say 500 miles! Any advice? Thank you!

You could always go the remote tuning route. I know Mellon tuning is doing the Xs and believe TTP may also be doing them.

I'm sure others will chime in on who to get a hold of.

Yes we have reflashes available for Evo X GSR, MR as well as 2009 Ralliart AWD and ZChip for Evo X GSR.

www.zchip.net is a product that would work well for your remote location.

Hey mellon, do you modify maps to delete the check engine light due to a cat-delete? I also heard that you modify maps to blink my check engine light when I have knock? Is this true?

for cat delete, I prefer to use a spark plug antifouler mechanical fix, it works great, for the check engine light that's a tephra mod I can apply to your rom but you should send him a small donation for his efforts on that one.

Now my question is what will I lose by using a remote tune that I would get from a dyno or road tune? I guess when I thought of "remote custom tune" I kind of thought that an oxymoron. But now that I see we send you the log of a 3rd gear pull, it makes more sense Thanks!

yep, the remote tune and local road tune process is exactly the same, the only difference is that I'm not sitting there with you.
