just want to get some people thoughts on this. Thinking about trading my 08 civic si . I'm tired of paying 500 a month for it.there's a 03 evo 8 and it have about 123,000 miles on it .what should i be worry about if i get this car. is it worth it? price is 12,995. what do you think i can drop it too.

 

That's not a bad price, as long as it doesn't appear to be extensively modded (in other words, ridden like a cheap *****), I'd go for it.

I paid 16,450 for my 03 with 75k.

that's the only thing i'm concern is that it's my dd. the engine bay looks okay i guess. but i'm not sure they kept up with the oil change and etc.

 

You'll want to change all the fluids anyway if you get it. It's best to be safe than sorry.

 

Have you gotten an insurance quote for it yet?

 

The millage is pretty high. I would ask them if the turbo has been replaced yet because that's usually one thing that goes out in high millage turbo cars. For the millage, you can drop it down as I would not pay $13k for 123k. If it's a dealer, try $12k or even $11k which might be a long stretch. I just know that I lowered the dealership down to $14k from $17k on 11k mile 07 Civic Si once.

 

Be prepared to replace the transfer case.

 

If it was me, I would look for something with lower miles. 120+ is a bit high for me.

 

There's an evo for sale here on evom ( think it's in Indiana) with 97k miles, he's asking 10k for the car. I don't think I would pay 12k for an evo with 123k miles on it.

I just got a mint condition 03 with 45k miles for 14k.

123,000 miles for $13,000? where I live (chicagoland area) ive seen stock ones with around 50-70K miles for that, yours seems a little high id talk em down
