Wanting to buy an Evo

Just to start out I have never owned an Evo but I do love everything I know about them. I am a new father to a boy. I sold my 05 RSX-S and my wife's 07 Scion TC to get ready to get a family car. Four doors anyway lol I have alway's been really involved in formus and I know from experience that there are alway's cars for sale on the forum for that car. So here I am on a forum looking at cars and in order to talk to someone in the classifieds I have to have 50 posts. I don't own an evo and I don't have a lot of time on my hands but I guess I will do what I can. Where can I go other than Auto trader to find and look at evo's?

This is a good start, you will find a few people trying to sell them but chances are they will be slightly modified. Would that be alright with you or are you looking for something bone stock? What year and model are you looking at? Let people know more about your specific choice and price range and im sure you will find a few offers...

As for the family car, if your wife/girlfriend lets you get away with this one shes definitely a keeper. Oh, and just so you know, the 09 MR that I have has the clips on the backseats to put the carseat in!

Good luck

EvoM is a great place to find an evo. Probably one of the best places. Just get those 50 posts, and keep looking.

She is a keeper that's why I married her. I found her an 02 OZ Rally5 years ago and saved her from buying a Olds. Alaro lol. Ever since then the Evo is her dream car and I would love to own one too.

IMo this is one of the best evo sites on the web with the most information. Research before buying cars to find known problems/issues. Have fun with your future evo

The VIII's tend to be in the 16-18 range and the IX's are closer to 25. I've seen VIII's that were over 20k but they were very nicely modded and with 15-20k miles. Maybe you need to drive inland to find a better deal?

You could probably find an VIII with a lot of highway miles on it in your price range but I think you'd be happier if you put together another 3k to work with.

14k is a good number to start with.. If your oka with putting a good down payment on one, just go for the 9.
