motor mounts, sway bars, are they "must do" mods?
are the factory motor mounts a weak link to the evo x? i see alot of people upgrade their front motor mount but how about the cam side and trans side motor mounts? do they really help out the drivetrain lash? i'm particularity interested in simple yet effective mods...are motor mounts one of the first "must do" mods for the evo x?
how about sway bars? i would think this is as important as the evo x already comes with awd and a well engineered suspension...are sway bars worth looking into and another "must do" mod?
any other input would be greatly appreciated....anything thats a weak link to the evo x and is considered a "must do" mod, please enlighten me

is there any recommendations that you have? i'm pretty familiar with the power mods on the evo x...so i'm trying to learn other must do mods for this car...is everything else well engineered?
The stock transmission fluid is a joke; I'd suggest doing that too, personally. I switched to AMSOIL and the 1st-2nd gear shift became much smoother.
The center differential pins in the GSR have a tendency to evidently break fairly early Link here Buschur discusses his fix. That, to me, is more of a "preventative maintenance" thing.
From a suspension perspective, it really depends what you want, and what your budget allows. Stock, the cars are pretty damn well balanced, but there's a lot of body roll in harder turns and such. I plan to equip mine with some Eibach springs and call it a day; I did the whole coilover trick on another Evo, and it was overkill for my personal needs.
Again, it really depends what you *WANT TO DO* with your car. My driving is limiting to around town, spirited driving in the boondocks, and runs down to the Dragon every few months. I don't track, I don't drag, etc, etc. I'm basically driving an amazingly high performance, expensive Japanese rice rocket back and forth to work, mixed in with some angry drives in North Carolina. Yee haw.

I'm not planning to do the mounts. They say you'll get a small amount of power in the 1/4 mile but I don't drag race and it definitely adds NVH.
I took my car to an HPDE totally stock and had a good time with it. I'm going to do "street" coilovers, rear bar, whiteline roll center kit, and the Perrin PSRS on mine...but that's because I'm going to spend a lot of time at HPDE's and maybe auto-x next year. The front bar is a real bear to install (have to drop the rack) so I wasn't planning to do it and just went with a milder rear bar.
If you're only going to use the car on the street then I wouldn't bother. Get a set of springs to lower the car a bit and focus on whatever power mods you're planning to do.
