Which setup???

Ok I got my 05 ssl about a month ago and after debating whether to save up till spring and get a busa or dish 10k into mods I've decided, to upgrade the evo. Anyways the car is bone stock except for the intake. Its going to be a daily driver for thre winter but then when It gets warm I'll switch between the evo and my LS1. Dont ask! With 10k as my limit I want close to if not reliable 500 awhp. Is this attainable? Also I've been reading dozens of threads regarding which turbo's and shortblock's provide which results. I was thinking an ams gt35r with a 2.3, but then I'm going over my budget. It will mostly be a street car but will see the track a couple times during the year. Any suggestions would be appreciated?

If you're doing the work yourself then 10k is a good amount. If you're having a performance shop (like AMS) do it then you'd be more than a little over your budget (I'd guess double). A stroker with a gt35r would also be 6-700hp...a beast.

Does your track time involve turning or just drag? It's all of the supporting mods (fueling, clutch, fmic, etc. that run up the cost).

I personally built my car to max out the stock turbo and otherwise well balanced for HPDE track days (brakes, suspension, tires, in addition to power). I've spent around 10k doing the work myself and I haven't bought the Volks yet. lol.

I'm not doing the work. Dont have the garage nor the time to do so, also the cars going to be mostly street oriented and will see the 1/4 mile a couple times durig the year. I'm thinking the ams gt35r kit would e to much for my needs considering I want a car the spools up quick almost like the stocker. Just more hp I guess. Maybe an fp red or black setup would be sufficient?
