Does a resonator kill power?
Does a resonator kill power?
Hey guys,
I recently purchased a Greddy Ti-C for my car and overall I really like the exhaust. It's actually not that loud, idle is pretty good, and WOT is badass. But the damn thing drones like crazy. Cruising at 80mph I just hear this steady annoying hum, its not really that loud but just annoying.
I was wondering if I throw a 3" in/out resonator on my test pipe, will I lose power? I see a lot of aftermarket systems come with resonators so maybe it isn't that big of a deal?

i dont think a resonator will really do that much for you sound-wise. power-wise, it will hardly hurt you though.
a cat would definitely help with sound, but will hurt a little more power-wise.
