Hey everyone!

I was on this forum a while ago (new) and was unable to log back on so i had to create another username! Ill introduce myself again!

My name is Tony, Im 19 in february, i drive a 99' Mitsubishi Galant. I call it the Galant Evolution because when im done with it its going to be a galant with an Evo 8 twist. I absolutly am inlove with the Evo 8 style...i would love to drive one but because im young still insurance is sky high and i cant afford it :-( In the mean time i thought it would be fun, challanging, and unique to build up my own Mitsu Galant to be as evolutionary as possible haha! So i figured here is the perfect place to get ideas, and advice on things to do! I want this as mostly a show car so people can appreciate the hard work! Here is my mods so far!:

-Evo 8 wing
-Evo MR vortex fins
-Evo side markers
-Prosport Gauges
-Custom fitted eclipse racing seats with the mitsu logo
-Painted dash (in the works)
-Rear seats painted black
-Evo steering wheel (not on yet)
-30,000k dark blue HID (show) 8,000k HID (DD)
-Clear corner headlight mod

Mods i plan on doing and am currently doing!

-Evo style rims black 17'' not sure what kind
-K-sport coilovers
-KYB struts and shocks
-Gen 3 tails
-New floor carpet (black)
-New headliner (black)
-Finish painting the dash haha
-5 speed swap eventually
-Evo head swap
-Integra mugen front lip
-JDM new style sides
-Rear lip of some sort not sure
-Car is going to be painted in the spring ALL WHITE...no tacky black accents on the exterior
-CF VIS Evo hood
-Some sort of eyelid design to make the heads more aggressive
-CF VIS trunk


Thats all i can think of as of now...any ideas comments? I really want this to be something people are like "wtf model mitsu is that??" in a good way of corse! Let me know what you guys think would look good and be an interesting mod! Feel free to ask any questions! This is just the beggining! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! Since you asked for ideas/comments, I will be first to say lose the wing. Just because you admire the Evo doesn't mean you have to try and make your car look like it. That wing on a galant just screams rice all over. And I'm asian, so I know rice when I see it....

 

big wing on a fwd car is pointless. welcome to the forum, you are gonna get flamed pretty bad....

i think itll look a lot better when it is one color on the inside and one color on the outside, id love to see pictures of it then. Im saying though, the lancer guys get flamed enough for evo conversions....

 

sorry man i didnt know there was any type of wall between you guys with the lancers etc. Im new here, i have a lot to learn. Yea the interior is going to be black, the exterior is going to be white...so ditch the wing, the MR fins, and just build it up without any evo touches?

 

i realize imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, and its your car, you should do what you want with it, so have a blast with the evo upgrades.

 

i really wish i could just buy one...there so expensive, i love the 06' evo mr there awesome!

 

^^^Then save and wait! If you want an Evo that bad, stop spending on the Galant, and save the money. You'll be far more happy!

Dude my insurance for 6 months is almost 1k and I just lost my job lol I'm going nuts trying to find out how to take care of this but if there is a will I am dam sure there is a way! GL and welcome
